How we see children
Children here spend their days with their hands busy: baking bread, tending the garden, painting, knitting, and gathering to hear stories. Teachers keep screens out of the grade-school day, so childhood stays hands-on, social, and real.
In the early years, the rooms are set up for real work: a baking corner, a garden bed, paints, and a quiet spot for stories. Children learn to knit and garden, play an instrument, and move through games. Fourth graders divide real loaves of bread to learn fractions. No tablets, no screens.

What a day looks like
Before-school care opens at 7:30 a. m. for families who need it. Young children arrive and settle into the room, hanging up bags and joining whatever is already underway. Teachers greet each child by name, and a parent can linger a few minutes until the goodbye feels right.
The middle of the day is for play, small-group work, and time outside on the trails, in the gardens, and on the Glade. Children bake, paint, and gather for stories. Meals and rest are part of the rhythm. Teachers watch how each child is doing and adjust the pace.
In the afternoon, the day winds down with quieter work and a chance to finish what children started. Most programs run until 6:00 p. m. each day for an added fee. At pickup, a parent hears what their child did, not just that the day went fine. Teachers share small, specific moments from the day.
How we work with families
At pickup, teachers tell you what your child did that day and how they are doing. When you have a question, you ask it, and someone answers. This happens through a richer, deeper academic education: taught through the arts, rooted in nature, and held by a community of families who share the same values. Children stay genuinely engaged and grow up well prepared and whole.
The first weeks are handled with care for both child and family. Teachers plan a start that suits your child's routine, and you can ask how drop-off and settling in will work. What if there is no place right now?
