What the Lower School day looks like, and how it keeps going after the last lesson.
The day does not end when the last lesson does. After-school clubs and programs give children more ways to explore, from sports and engineering to games and the arts, and the offerings change with the seasons. In grades 6-8, conventional sports enter the physical education curriculum, arriving exactly when students are ready to respect the law of rules, work as a team, and pursue technique, timing, and the spirit of the game. A Lower School day moves between focused lessons and time to build, draw, and play. Children work with their hands, hear stories told aloud, and learn in a room set up for making things. Teachers stay with a class over the years, so they know each child well.
