Student Support.

How learning support works here, who provides it, and how to start a conversation.

Student Support

Support for every learner

Learning Specialists work alongside class and specialty teachers to understand each student and provide differentiated instruction, classroom accommodations, and supplemental support, woven into the school day rather than bolted on. Because a class teacher stays with the same children for years, patterns get noticed early and known deeply. Hands-on teaching reaches visual, auditory, and kinesthetic learners alike.

How support works here

We are proud of the support we offer, and honest about its edges. Students entering grade 4 and above should be at or above grade level. When a child's needs go beyond what we provide, we partner openly with outside professionals. If you wonder whether this school fits your child, come talk with us. That conversation is confidential.

An honest word about fit

Contact our Enrollment Director, Stacey Alston, at enrollment@waldorfatlanta. org for more information about the Student Support Program at The Waldorf School of Atlanta. Ask about support in the classroom, accommodations, and how teachers and families work together.

What this looks like in practice

Every child learns differently, and a school this small can act on that truth. Learning Specialists work with class and specialty teachers to shape instruction that fits each student. Support happens inside the school day, not bolted on.

A child who gets the right help early stops guessing and starts trying. You may notice your child talking about school at dinner, or reaching for a book without being asked. When something is hard, our Learning Specialists partner with the teacher and with you to shape support. Contact Enrollment Director Stacey Alston for more information.
