How enrollment works
Tour the room
Come see the classroom your child would join. You will meet the teachers who run it. Plan to spend time looking around and asking what you want to know. Then decide if it feels right for your family.
Enroll and settle in
Complete enrollment and plan a first week that suits your child's routine. You will tell us your child's rhythms and what helps them settle. Then your child steps into the room. You are part of the plan from the first morning.
What to have ready
Most families gather a few things before the first day. Enrollment forms come first, then a health form and immunization record. Add your emergency contacts and the people allowed to pick your child up. Bring these to the office and you are set.
Pack a change of clothes for your child and label every piece. Add outdoor gear that fits the season, and nap items if your child rests during the day. A comfort object from home can come too. Label that as well.
Sort out the drop-off routine before the first morning. Decide who brings your child and who picks them up. Talk with the teacher about how you want to hear about the day. A short plan now makes the first week calmer.
The first weeks
The first days are often shorter, so your child can ease in. Send a familiar object from home. A teacher greets your child by name at the door and stays close. That steady face is the anchor of the morning.
At pickup, teachers tell you how the day went. They share what your child played, ate, and rested. Most children find their footing within the first weeks. You will hear it in how they walk into the room.

How will I know how my child is doing?
You hear about the day at pickup, when teachers often share a quick word about what your child did. For specifics, ask your child's teacher directly. Families can also ask about scheduled communication from The Waldorf School of Atlanta. Before-school care starts at 7:30am, and most programs run until 6:00 p. m. each day for an added fee.
Do you offer part-time or flexible schedules?
Schedules depend on your child's age group and what is open. Call or email to ask what is available for the days you need.
What if there is no place right now?
You can ask to be told when a place opens for your child's age. Call or email us to add your child's name to the list.
